Founder Alice Walton Named on TIME100 Health List

On Thursday, May 8, TIME named Heartland Whole Health Institute Founder, Alice Walton, to the 2025 TIME100 Health, a list recognizing the 100 most influential individuals in health. This recognition is a powerful testament to Alice’s vision, leadership, and impact in health care throughout the Heartland and beyond.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by TIME, and to be included alongside so many people focused on improving health and wellness,” Walton said. “Increasing access to high-quality, whole health care is critical to improving health outcomes in our country, and I’m committed to advancing this work.”
Walton was specifically praised for the founding of Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, a four-year MD program enhanced with a whole-person approach. “As the richest woman in the world, Alice Walton could turn her sizable resources to any cause,” said Alice Park of TIME. “She chose health.” The full list and related tributes appear in the May 26, 2025 issue of TIME, available here.
