A whole health approach puts the patient at the center of a collaborative, preventative, and value-based care model. Whole health considers the needs of the whole person with the goal of preventing disease, improving health outcomes, and sustaining wellness.

What We Do

We bring partners together to develop, test, and strengthen whole‑person care approaches that improve outcomes, emphasize prevention, and work in real‑world settings.

We support value‑based initiatives that align care delivery and payment with better health outcomes, helping partners design, evaluate, and sustain models that move beyond volume‑driven care.

We work with providers and communities to improve access to high‑quality and specialty care, particularly in rural and underserved areas across Northwest Arkansas and the Heartland.

We collaborate with academic and clinical partners to assess outcomes, costs, and feasibility, generating evidence that supports decision‑making across care delivery and payment design.

We serve as a trusted, nonpartisan resource by translating research and real‑world insights into context that supports understanding of health care access, quality, and outcomes.

GME Technical Assistance Center

The Heartland Whole Health Graduate Medical Education Technical Assistance Center helps partners across Arkansas develop and strengthen GME programs, expanding training opportunities, growing the physician workforce, and improving access to care.

Our Home

With deep roots in the Heartland, we’re proud to call Bentonville, Arkansas, home. We are on the Crystal Bridges Campus, home to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and Alice L. Walton School of Medicine — and connected to a growing whole-health ecosystem that includes the new Bentonville Health Care Campus now in development.
