Angela Lappin serves as Vice President, Chief of Value‑based Initiatives at Heartland Whole Health Institute. Lappin leads the development and implementation of whole‑person care models and value‑based payment approaches designed to improve outcomes, strengthen provider performance, and support sustainable transformation across the Heartland.
Lappin brings more than 15 years of experience advancing population health and value‑based care across clinical and operational settings. She began her career in bedside nursing before moving into leadership roles that emphasized coordinated care delivery, practice transformation, and systemwide quality improvement. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Primary Care Performance and Population Health at Mercy, where she led teams responsible for care model optimization, digital transformation, virtual and in‑person access strategies, and addressing social determinants of health across a multistate network.
