Chris Long, PhD
Director, Research and Scholarly Partnerships
Chris Long, PhD, serves as Director, Research and Scholarly Partnerships at Heartland Whole Health Institute. Dr. Long began his work in health care research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he developed and evaluated initiatives to improve access to healthy food among people experiencing food insecurity and chronic disease. Immediately prior to joining the Institute, Dr. Long worked at the Center for Nutrition and Health Impact, where he advised national food system and philanthropic organizations on evaluating the impact of their Food Is Medicine and health-related initiatives.
Dr. Long holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Harding University and a PhD in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
